Join us at the From Parish To Parliament event on the 4th July 2026 at 10am at the Grange
Ever wondered who actually deals with the potholes versus who looks after our village green spaces? Or wanted to pitch an idea straight to your MP without the formality of an official appointment?
Pop down to The Grange for an open, informal community forum. There are no structured speeches, scary panels, or strict time slots here—just a friendly, casual space where you can grab a chat with your real-life representatives from every level of local and national government.
Who’s Who (And What They Cover)
To help you find the right person to catch up with in the forum, here is a quick guide to our attendees and the types of topics they look after:
- James Naish (MP for Rushcliffe): National issues — handling big-picture UK laws, government policies, and major country-wide matters.
- Roger Upton (Nottinghamshire County Council): Strategic infrastructure — the team responsible for our roads, fixing potholes, schools, and social care.
- Abby Brennan (Rushcliffe Borough Council): Everyday local services — everything from your household bin collections and recycling to council tax and housing.
- Portfolio Leads (Radcliffe on Trent Parish Council): Hyper-local village life — looking after our immediate community assets, local parks, and neighbourhood planning.
- Nottinghamshire Police: Community safety — on hand to chat about neighbourhood policing priorities and keeping our streets secure.

Quick FAQs
Do I need to book?
Not at all! Because this is a completely open, informal drop-in forum, there is no need to register or reserve a seat. Just turn up whenever suits you between 10am and 12pm and mingle.
Can I bring paperwork?
Absolutely. If you have a specific issue, letter, or diagram you want to chat through, bring it along so your representative can look over the details with you on the spot.
