Local Information
Local Organisations
Local organisations play a huge role in strengthening the fabric of a community, often in ways that are easy to overlook but deeply felt. They bring people together around shared interests, offer support where it’s needed most, and create opportunities for residents to connect, learn, and contribute. Whether it’s a volunteer group caring for local green spaces, a charity offering practical help to vulnerable neighbours, a long standing charity offering financial support to residents in need, or a hobby group that helps reduce loneliness, each organisation adds something unique. Together, they help build a more resilient, welcoming, and active community, one where people feel rooted, supported, and proud to belong.
Public Notices
Roadworks and road closures can significantly impact day-to-day activities so it’s useful to keep informed and be aware of how daily routes may be affected and for how long. The Causeway One Network app is the best place to keep informed, it provides a live view of all the local roadworks, with data updated very frequently so you can be confident that you are in the loop with the latest info.
Health & Safety
Health Centres
Our local Health Centre is located on Hunt Close near our office. It is not an emergency centre.
For emergencies, we recommend the NHS Urgent Treatment Centre in Nottingham or Queen’s Medical Hospital for all A&E needs.
Defibrillators
We installed and look after a number of defibrillators in Radcliffe on Trent. These are accessible 24/7 and are all registered on DefibFinder.
Flooding
We have an active team of Flood Wardens that are ready to help in case of flood. Contact our office for more information.
For urgent needs with lives at risk, please call 999.
If you need flood management advice outside of office hours, our local Flood leaders are:
- Cllr Abby Brennan (Rushcliffe Borough Council) 07802 633743
- Cllr Anne McLeod (Parish Council) 0796 6478873
Volunteer actions
We run some ad-hoc litter picking sessions and weed removal sessions around Radcliffe on Trent in the summer, generally on a Saturday morning. The dates are announced on our Facebook page so it’s best to follow us to stay up to date.
