We are delighted to say that the surface water flooding has now cleared at Wharf Lane. Severn Trent engineers have opened the sluice gate to allow drainage of the football field. The Parish Council are working with Severn Trent, The Borough Council, Nottinghamshire County Council and the Environment Agency to try and prevent a recurrence.
Unfortunately the rocking horse at Wharf Lane is currently out of action due to damage and has had to be cordoned off for health and safety purposes. We have contacted our regular playground inspection company to resolve as soon as possible.
